Mariana Hernandez, Editor-in-Chief
Mari Hernandez is looking forward to improving her skills in creative photography this year. She would like to continue exploring her interest in journalism during her fourth year working for The Edge. Mari was the Editor-in-Chief of the yearbook and newspaper, so she hopes to continue her leadership roles well. Mari loves to be involved in her school community, which is shown by the many extra-curricular activities she is a part of. She anticipates that her involvement in St. Edward Cheer Team, school theater productions, Yearbook Club, Spanish Club, and Asian Club will help her make connections with many new and interesting people. Mari hopes to be more creative in her free time by trying new photography styles, reading more, and exploring new movies and tv shows. Though she wants to experience new media, she consistently watches her favorite TV series is Gilmore Girls; she has seen it so many times she lost count (she estimates a little over 30 times). Mari loves to watch the series with her mom because she feels their relationship is similar to the main characters’ mother-daughter relationship. Her favorite thing to do when she is home is to hang out with her two dogs, Buddy and Snickers, or with her sister.
