Seniors waiting for Space Jam to start while enjoying burgers and dogs.

What are blankets, a projector and popcorn doing in the student parking lot of St. Ed’s on a Wednesday night? The answer is: senior movie night! This is the first year of a fun tradition that will hopefully continue for years to come. Seniors gathered in the student parking lot by Greenwave Hall on Wednesday of homecoming week toting blankets, snacks, and chairs. A sheet hanging on the back of the bleachers served as the backdrop for the movie.

The seniors voted and chose the movie Space Jam as their flick for the night. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, drinks, and popcorn were provided by the St. Edward Booster Club for all the seniors, and DQ Blizzards were gifted by the Principal, Mrs. Villont. Mr. Herrmann and the Student Council worked hard to set up the well-attended event. Thankfully, the weather was gorgeous, no rain and temperature in the 60’s. A wonderful time was had by all, and we hope that this senior movie night tradition will be enjoyed for years to come.
