Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and more are all exciting holidays which I too enjoy. A holiday that is coming up that is also incredible and truly worth loving is Easter. Some might not love Easter or care for it as much as other holidays, but there is so much to love about this one.

The first reason, which is also an obvious one, is that this was the day the Lord rose after three days in the tomb. This holiday feels like a warm sunny hug of joy after knowing that Jesus came back after dying on the cross and facing death for us. Now that Easter is here, the season of lent is done. Lent isn’t always easy, especially depending on what you gave up or added. Finishing up this season, you can look and see what you can take from it; you can also have whatever food you gave up, if any.

Another reason to look forward to this holiday is getting to see family. Easter is a great time to get together, celebrate, and eat good food, even if it’s not a lot of people there’s still so much to enjoy. Food does vary based on the household but usually there is a nice bounty of different foods, whether it’s a lot of finger food and snacks or a full meal. You can also enjoy chocolate. Though it isn’t the true meaning of Easter, Easter candy is so delectable. As people do get older, you of course grow out of the Easter bunny, but you can never be too old for a sweet treat! As you do grow older or genuinely don’t feel the need for sweets, you can feel the light of seeing younger family members enjoy the moment.

Easter isn’t just warm; it shows how you can have faith and not fear. There are perks of Easter but truly Jesus defeated death so there is love and now we can celebrate this holiday.
