What type of Christmas do you prefer, a warm white Christmas or a multi-color vibrant Christmas? Most people can’t decide because both types of light have their own unique style. Which light setting is best for you?
Warm Light Christmas consists of white and gold lights, green garland and small green objects, small red objects, silver, and gold. A typical white Christmas consists of a tree decorated in white lights, strung with gold or silver ribbon or tinsel. What covers most of the tree is red and white, gold or green ornaments. Most people who go with a warm feeling have gold, red and silver presents to go with the warm light. The warm light accentuates the look of whatever it’s on. Zachary Lombardo ’26 feels that “Warm lights are better because they make you feel warm and coxy when you are by your tree.” When the light is on a tree or wreath, it adds light and accents the green and brightens it up. However, some people prefer a more colorful look.
Multi-color lights help add a bit of color and pop. They give a good mash up of colors such as red, green, blue, pink, orange, and purple. When decorating with this color mash up, there are multi colors. With prominent red and green lights and bright lights. Kaden Bergholt, ’26, says, “I prefer the colorful lights because they catch your eye more and are more appealing to look at.”
The multicolored and warm lights depend on the area they are being used in. Multicolored are more recognized from the outside decorations. Warm lights are typically on the inside and used for a classier look. Mr. Brieger explains, “I prefer multicolored lights on my house but warm lights on my tree.”
They are both good for different purposes. Multi color is good for outside lights and warm is good for decorating a tree, but most people use multi color for everything. These lights all depend on what you want personally and the environment they are used in.
