Fall is here and there are so many fun events and activities around town! Whether you love haunted houses, apple picking, or fall treats, you will find some fun activities to do. Here are the top places you need to visit this fall season!

Do you love the scary side of Halloween? Evil Intentions Haunted House, in Elgin, is the place to go. This haunted house is in Elgin’s industrial area where there stands the abandoned home of Elgin Casket Company. The building has been witness to murders, cult activities, and unexplained occurences. You can buy tickets starting at $35. Another Haunted House to go to is Statesville Prison, which is in Lockport, Illinois. This Haunted House is about 45 minutes long and tickets are from $30-$45. If you are looking for something not scary and family-friendly, Little Parks of Horror in Elgin is perfect. Little Parks of Horror is a drive-thru event with horror-themed props, live actors, and atmospherics. Tickets are $10 per vehicle and will be hosted from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. from Thursdays to Sundays, located at 1010 Wing Street in Elgin.

Lots of daytime events are being held as well. Goebbert’s Pumpkin Patch is in Pingree Grove and South Barrington. Goebbert’s is a family-friendly activity to attend. General Admission is $17 (weekdays) and $20 (weekends). General Admission tickets include a haunted house, straw maze, jumping pillow, and more! St. Charles is also hosting a Scarecrow Festival. This will be the 36th annual Scarecrow Fest featuring scarecrows displayed throughout St. Charles. It is free to enter and something fun to do.

Are you looking to get spooked this Halloween? Elgin’s very own X-treme Auto Spa is hosting their annual “X-Scream Tunnel.” While getting your car “X-tremely” clean, there will be Halloween decorations and scarers throughout the tunnel. Along with the Elgin Police Department, X-treme Auto Spa will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Special Olympics. They will be featuring the BATT (EPD armored SWAT vehicle) and a squad car on Friday the 29th to kick off the Halloween festivities. The event runs from the 29th -31st from 7:00pm-11:00pm. There will be a discounted price for those who bring their student ID’s. This is the perfect event for all age groups, and it is supporting an awesome organization!
