Interact club gets involved

Interact executives attend a meeting at Grumpy Goat

November has been a very productive month for the Wave students! The Rotary Interact club members attended the Rotary Youth Conference at Harper College where they participated in several breakout sessions to learn more about activities they can complete here in our community. The members were split into groups with other students that are also a part of Interact Clubs at their schools, which was followed up by sharing ideas and comparing what they’ve done through Interact. Guest speakers were also present at this conference. They inspired the club members to bring new ideas that St. Edward students could be a part of and stay active in the community. This month the Wave students also put together 60 activity bags of donated items to donate to pediatric patients at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. They also purchased a teen basket and volunteered at the Anderson Animal Shelter’s annual fundraiser. We hope to expand this humanitarian program and we wish to have everyone be a part of this to contribute!
