World War Pumpkin

World War Pumpkin

Charlie Canning, Reporter

The pumpkin spice trend started a few years back when Starbucks released their original pumpkin spice latte. Who didn’t enjoy a good PSL from time to time? But those days of pumpkin peace are long gone. You can’t go anywhere without being bombarded with various pumpkin spice related products. Soon enough, pumpkin spice is going to overthrow this nation. In fact, pumpkin spice is gaining more popularity than either of our presidential candidates. We need to stop pumpkin spice now, before it’s too late. Products relating to pumpkin spice this year include Oreos, ice cream, yogurt, tortilla chips with pumpkin salsa, and even gum. Before we know it, we’ll be surrounded by monstrosities such as pumpkin spice toothpaste, or pumpkin spice Doritos. It’s getting out of hand, and only you can stop it.
Pumpkin spice products including Cheerios, pop tarts, caramels, gum, yogurt, and chocolate were recently taste-tested during lunch periods. Products such as Cheerios and pop tarts had a high approval rate, while the yogurt had an incredibly high disapproval rating. Pumpkin spice should be enjoyed in moderation, not thrown at us from every angle. Please, enjoy pumpkin spice responsibly.
