Looking for something to do this summer? Well, music festivals are great to enjoy listening to your favorite artist as the sun goes down. Fill up the gas tank and head north to experience the multiple stages and the Lake Michigan shoreline of Milwaukee. Summer Fest is ready to go this year! The first dates are June 20-22. Kane Brown, Motley Crue, and SZA will be performing on these days. June 27-29 is reserved for Illenium, Tyler Childers, and Keith Urban and finally July 4-6 AJR, Maroon 5, and Lil Uzi Vert will be rocking Milwaukee. Throughout these days, there will also be smaller artists to see during the day. Enjoy some cheese curds and a cold lemonade while listening to many different music styles.
One of the most popular festivals this summer is Summer Smash in Bridgeview, right outside of Chicago. First up on June 14th is Cactus Jack. On the second day, June 15th, Playboi Carti will be performing. June 16th is the last day and when the one and only Chief Keef will be introduced to the sellout crowd. Besides the headliners, there will be 50+ other artists performing.
Next up on July 18th – 21st in the rural area of Twin Lakes, WI is Country Thunder. Fans from all over the Midwest will converge on southern Wisconsin to listen. This year’s headliners are Eric Church, Nickelback, Lainey Wilson, Koe Wetzel, and Bailey Zimmerman.
Finally, the festival that everyone will be looking forward to: Lollapalooza! This festival will be located in Grant Park, August 1-4. Thursday’s headliners are Tyler the Creator and Hozier – two very different types of music with many people lining up to attend both shows. SZA and Stray Kids are Friday’s headliners. There will be many of SZA fans ready to scream every song word for word. Performing on Saturday are The Killers and Future X Metro Boomin. Chicago will be dancing and jumping all night once Future X Metro Boomin make their way on stage. Sunday, the last night, Blink-182 and Melanie Martinez will be performing.
Music just sounds better in the outdoors and seeing more than one band at a festival is like getting two scoops of ice cream and paying for one. The summer concert season is here now; the only decision is how much do you want to pay for the band’s t-shirt.
