5 must-do summer activities

As summer comes near, you may begin to wonder what activities you should be planning for this summer. That is why this list of 5 things you MUST do before summer ends is so important.

The first place I suggest going during the summer is the renowned Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois. Six Flags is a hotspot for high school students to have fun and meet new people. If you plan to go multiple times, I suggest buying a season pass so you can go as many times as you want through the 2024 season. The next place I recommend is Lollapalooza. This year’s Lolla lineup is one of the best seen yet, and it is only a train ride away. With headliners like Tyler the Creator, Hozier, SZA, Stray Kids, The Killers, Future x, Metro Boomin, Blink-182, and Melanie Martinez, there is a variety of all music types suitable for anyone who enjoys music. https://www.lollapalooza.com/
If you are into nature, I suggest going to Starved Rock State Park in LaSalle County. It is filled with many waterfalls and fun rocks and canyons to walk and climb. Wisconsin Dells- The Wisconsin Dells is an exciting waterpark where people of all ages can go to eat, shop, and play. If you are looking for a place to go on a muggy day, travel to Wisconsin Dells and enjoy a fun day in the water. https://shorturl.at/zJT3V
The last must–do summer activity is to take a day trip to Chicago! There are so many fun activities you can do, such as going on a boat ride, visiting the pier, going to the beach, shopping on Michigan avenues, and visiting museums. https://www.choosechicago.com/things-to-do/

All these activities are worth your while and will be a day you remember if you take the trip to get there. If you have a free day with your friends or family, I suggest visiting either of these five places.
