What do you think about when someone mentions fall? Well, we know what we think of: Starbucks fall drinks. From pumpkin spice to apple crisp, Starbucks has a variety of drinks to either warm or cool our hearts this fall. Edge reporters Samantha Pogorzelski, ‘26,and Scarlet Enright, ‘26, took it upon themselves to try all these fall drinks and rank them to let Edge viewers know what their new fall Starbucks order is going to be.
The fifth and last placed drink that we ordered was the Apple Crisp Oat Milk Macchiato. This drink was supposed to taste like apples and fall; however, this drink did not do its title justice. It was strong and unpleasant. Enright recommended that next year, instead of apple, Starbucks makes a pumpkin macchiato; she quotes “Hopefully it doesn’t taste as bad”. We do not recommend this drink to anyone unless you want a bad taste in your mouth for the rest of the day.
Coming in fourth is the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. We did actually enjoy this drink, however, this is not a very inclusive drink as it was super strong which could be overwhelming for inexperienced coffee drinkers. This drink did earn the title of Best Drink for Adults, which is very well deserved because we know some parents need the extra caffeine.
In third place is the Iced Apple Crisp Oat Milk Shaken Espresso. This was a drink that surprised both Enright and Pogorzelski. After the disappointment of the macchiato, this apple crisp drink was a huge upgrade. Enright and Pogorzelski decided to title this drink The Most Overlooked and believe that this drink should be on the menu.
Coming in second place is the classic Pumpkin Spice Latte. This is a drink that most likely pops into your brain first when you think of Starbucks fall drinks. The Pumpkin Spice Latte is good iced or hot and is the best taste of fall. The Pumpkin Spice Latte is believed to be the most popular drink because of its diversity in temperature and because it has been on the menu the longest.
Finally, the best drink of this fall season is………the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai! This drink is definitely a head-turner this fall; it is sweet and savory, and the cold foam on top just makes it ten times better. Edge reporter Samantha Pogorzelski said, “This is the best thing I ever drank.” Enright and Pogorzelski recommended this drink to people of any age and named it The Drink We Couldn’t Stop Drinking.
In addition to the drinks, the baked goods this fall are also top-notch. The Owl Cake Pop and the Pumpkin Loaf surprised Enright and Pogorzelski; they were shocked at how well these spooky snacks tasted with their fall drinks. That being said, for a taste of fall, drive on over to your nearest Starbucks and grab an owl cake pop and a pumpkin chai.
