Mrs. Page is a science teacher at St. Edward Central Catholic High School. She was a science teacher at Prairie Knolls Middle School and decided to come to St. Edward because she wanted to express herself spiritually. Page states, “Faith is a big part of who I am, and being able to do and say things faith-based are important to me, and the smaller groups let me get to know everyone more.” Growing up, Page wanted to go into law or become a nurse; she tried both, but later found a passion for teaching. She decided she wanted to teach science because she had a background from her nursing classes “Science is always changing, and there is always something new to learn… I love learning.”
In her free time, Mrs. Page loves to go hiking with her dog and look at the nature surrounding her; if she could, she would volunteer at some shelters or do something outside. Her favorite movie is Wizard of Oz, which is a great classic. In high school, Page did show choir and attempted the high jump for track and soon realized in college that she wasn’t as prepared as she thought she was. Speaking of sports, Page was asked her opinion on the St. Edward football team… she doesn’t have a strong opinion yet because she’s only been to 1 game.
Page was asked about what she likes at St. Edward; she mentioned that her favorite item from the cafeteria at St. Edward has to be the breaded chicken sandwich. “I put a lot of buffalo sauce and ranch on it and then it’s like a buffalo chicken sandwich… so I actually don’t know the quality of the chicken because I just smother it in buffalo sauce.” The most important thing Page likes about St. Edward is the family environment our school gives off. “I really enjoy that we get to invest in it and we get to know our students; that we become more than teachers here” She expresses herself a lot with her students. Mrs. Page is very happy with her decision to move to St. Edward and loves creating a new family with our school.
