Golf is one of the exciting fall sports here at St. Edward! There are two golf teams in our high school: boy’s golf and girl’s golf. This year, Mr. Allan Anastacio is the head coach for the girl’s team and Mr. Mike Aydt is the head coach for the boy’s golf team

There are three new additions to the girl’s golf team this year. According to junior team captain Sarah Pottorf, this year for the girls is definitely a rebuilding  year. “My goal for the team is to build everyone’s skill,” Sarah says.

The boys team, on the other hand, has eight new additions to their team. Three returning players,Thomas Mcqueeny, Michael Mindykowski, & Oliver Inciong,advanced to regionals and to sectionals in past seasons, and they hope to advance further this year. “As a team, we have a goal to try to make it to sectionals as a team and if not, then maybe 5 to 6 players make it to sectionals and maybe some state this year,” junior Mindykowski said,The boy’s golf team is currently 3-2 in the matches so far. From winning matches to the close team relationships, both our golf teams represent our school by their strong teamwork and on-going success!
