Aaron Rodgers Big Second Half lead a Comeback vs. the Chicago Bears

What seemed liked a promising opening night for the Chicago Bears turned into a nightmare for Bears fans. The Chicago Bears blew a 17 point halftime lead and the Green Bay Packers took over the second half and won 24-23.
The Bears drove 86 yards to find the endzone on their first drive. Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky ran in a 2 yard TD run to give the Bears an early 7-0 lead. The Bears would drive in the red zone but couldn’t punch it in. Kicker Cody Parkey nailed a 26 yard field goal to increase the lead to 10-0 Bears. Newly acquired DE/LB Khalil Mack had a big sack in the first quarter returned it for a TD to give the Bears 17-0 heading into half time.
The Green Bay couldn’t do anything against the Bears pass rush. The Bears defense racked up 4 sacks in the first half and forced 2 turnovers and took 1 to the house. Packer’s fan had a scare in the first half when QB Aaron Rodgers left the game with an apparent knee injury. Many of us watched Rodgers get on the cart and taken to the locker room.
The Bears took the opening drive of the second half into the red zone but weren’t able to punch it in and settled for a 33 field goal to push their lead to 20-0. Aaron Rodgers returned in the second half for Green Bay’s opening drive of the second half. The Packers would eventually put up points on a 42 yard field goal by kicker Mason Crosby to cut the lead 20-3. Early in the 4th quarter Aaron Rodgers found WR Geronimo Allison for 39 yard TD pass to cut the deficit to 20-10. Rodgers showed off a little 4th quarter magic and found Davante Adams for a 12 yard TD to close the cut it to 20-17. The Bears would hit a 32 yard field goal by Parkey to make it 23-17. But Rodgers found his inner alpha and pulled off a miracle 75 yard TD pass to Randall Cobb to give the Packers their first lead of the game 24-23. The Bears had an opportunity to win the game and it looked promising. After a roughing the passer call that gave the Bears gave them a first down but were unable to convert on another 4th down. The Packers pulled off a miracle and won 24-23. Rodgers finished his night with completing 20/30 for 286 yards and 3 TD’s. Trubisky finished with completing 23/35 for 171 yards and 1 rushing TD.
