Jake Kaufman is a senior here at St.Edward high school, where his mom previously graduated from and where his younger brother attends now too. Jake is very involved with his school, he is apart of the interact club and the Spanish club. He also plays sports, including football and basketball, Jake became involved with sports at the age of four. At school he put all his love for sports into his articles for journalism and even created his own podcasts, where he talks about the weekly insight for upcoming football games.

After high school Jake would like to attend either De Paul, Ball State, or Kansas for college; these schools are great for people interested in sports broadcasting. Jake would like to eventually become a sports broadcaster going behind the desk or doing play by plays. Jake has never been to a beach and would like to go to Cancun Mexico one day, and visit the ancient Mayan ruins. He is a very caring person so he likes to volunteer whenever he can. Jake likes a good laugh, so when he watches a movie it’s definitely a comedy. Heights and Jake are not a good combination, so you will most likely not see him skydiving or going on any high roller coasters. Catch Jake this fall announcing the girls volleyball games
