The Man Who Invented Christmas

The Man Who Invented Christmas is a new movie from director Bharat Nalluri. It is about a young Charles Dickens as he struggles to write “A Christmas Carol” in six weeks in order to be available on Christmas. Dickens struggles with writing a story under pressure, added with stress from his family, loved ones, and friends. Dickens interacts with different characters from his story as he writes it. He is able to visualize the characters he is inventing and use them to make the story fuller and seem real. The movie stars Dan Stevens (Charles Dickens), Christopher Plummer (Ebenezer Scrooge), Jonathan Pryce (John Dickens), Simon Callow (John Leech), and Donald Sumpter (Jacob Marley). This movies sounds amazing. It really shows the struggles of being an author in the 1840’s. Whatever Christmas movies you may want to see this holiday season, make sure to squeeze in this one! The Man Who Invented Christmas came out on November 22, 2017, but it is still currently in theaters. It is rated PG.
