This 2017-2018 school year the St Edward cheer team of 19 contributed amazingly in rioting up the fan section at football games with the guidance of cheer captains; Senior, Cara Walsh and Junior, Jess Mote. “We had a great cheer-football season as a team with a lot of talented athletes!” Says cheer coach Kelley McDonald, “It was good to have returners from previous years come back and we can’t wait to see what next season has in stock for us” adds cheer coach Jordyn Stratman. Not only did our 19 cheerleaders represent the Green Wave football team, they also represented the school. Meaning they strived to spark the wave spirit at all times with positive vibes, not forgetting to keep up with their academics as well. “Cheer has been such a positive impact on our personal and student life and we’re so great full we got to participate in it all these years, these girls will always be my family” say our two seniors Cara Walsh and MJ Ashton.
