The scariest night of the year for the students at St. Edward Central Catholic High School is when Halloween falls on a school day. The rumor is that when Halloween falls on a school day a spooky monster haunts the school taking the form of the one and only Johnny Green Wave. This monster is known as the teachers’ greatest fear and the students’ greatest weapon.
Just last year we witnessed this great hunt, this riveting monster ate many of the student’s homework, tests, and laptops. The monster is known for eating many of the St. Edward students’ assignments and prohibiting them from turning in their homework the day after Halloween. The students’ grades always suffer and drop after Halloween due to this monster, and their grades are often not fixed until first semester finals. The worst thing is that the teachers have no sympathy for this monster and expect the students to complete the homework anyway! This is ridiculous because the students of St. Edward have no control over this rabid monster and cannot help that their homework is not complete. The most important part is that this monster, even though it is making their grades suffer, is helping the students by letting them trick or treat for longer. Now the students of St. Edward are out all night.
