With the second-best holiday approaching, you might want to start thinking of all the things you can do with your friends or significant others. One thing that has become popular is a “boo basket.” What is a boo basket you might ask; well, it is a fun theme basket that you get to fill up with Halloween decorations. It could include a spooky themed blanket, cups, candy, food, etc. This can be easily made, and it is a cute idea for the holidays. Here is a step-by-step on making the perfect boo basket.
Before you try to make your boo basket, you need to go into a store that will have enough Halloween decorations and candy. A couple of stores that you could head to are TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Target or Walmart. You would need to go to the Halloween section and start looking for your objects here. First, you need to buy a basket. You don’t need to necessarily buy a Halloween basket, but if you find a good-sized basket with the theme of Halloween, that would be best. Next, you need to fill your basket with goods. You can start off with chips, candy or drinks. This is the time when you can be creative. For example, you can put a red Gatorade and label it, “Vampire’s blood.” If you like to bake, you can add homemade goods inside your basket, and I guarantee they will love this extra sweet treat. You can start adding things like Halloween blankets, festive drinking cups, pajamas, slippers, etc. A nice touch would be to add a Halloween card telling the person how you appreciate them. Last, but not least, it is time to decorate your basket. This is my favorite part because you get to make it as fun and creative as possible. You could add string lights, orange, black or purple tissue paper or crinkle paper. You could add stickers or any decoration you feel fits best with your boo basket.
Once you have completed these steps, it is finally time to give your basket to your friend, significant other, etc. “They are a fun way to celebrate the holiday and the person you love,” stated Sara Gonzales. Remember that by doing this small gesture, it reminds the other person about how much you care about them. Your basket doesn’t have to be the biggest to show your appreciation, but I can assure you that whomever you may give it to will love it.
