If you want to know about math, quantum physics, gaming, and sports, Mr. Nicholson is the guy to ask. He has a plethora of hobbies that he enjoys and is passionate about.
Mr. Nicholson is the new math teacher here at St. Edward and is 25 years young. He was born on Christmas Eve, and corresponding with that, his favorite holiday is Christmas (I am sure he gets tons of presents). Mr. Nicholson enjoys the season of spring due to its warm weather and beautiful flowers blooming. Mr. Nicholson also enjoys eating the Italian dish mostaccioli. When asked why he chose to be a teacher he responded, “Critical thinking is important.”
Mr. Nicholson grew up in Schaumburg with his brother and sister. After graduating high school, he attended college at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He describes himself as a big sports fan and said he enjoys playing baseball but likes watching soccer more; he also enjoys going to the gym and doing physical activity. In addition to physical activity, he enjoys indulging in technological activities such as gaming and movies. He particularly enjoys the movie Inception and the television series Survivor. However, more traditionally, his favorite book is One Piece.
When asked what his favorite saying is, Mr. Nicholson said, “It is what it is.” He has a very positive mentality in life and hopes to spread his unique mindset to his students. When asked if he had a favorite quote, he responded with this quote from Alexis Carrel, “Man cannot remake himself without suffering, for he is both the marble and the sculptor.”
Mr. Nicholson is a bright, young teacher and is ready to help St. Edward students with math related problems. He is also looking forward to the rest of the school year.
