As fall time rolls around the corner, stores begin to stock the shelves with fall-themed foods. In fact, these fall foods are so loved, that stores have started to release their fall-themed foods as early as the beginning of September. These themed foods come in different varieties, for example, cereals, drinks, chips, desserts, and many other things that probably shouldn’t exist. I chose 5 fall-themed foods and drinks to try and to see if it was worth making a fall-flavored version of.
First off, I want to start off with the best fall drink combination, which would be pumpkin-spiced coffee. Pumpkin spiced coffee is the best seasonal drink creation; you can buy it in grounded coffee form, coffee pod form, already made and prepacked, and they also are sold in most coffee shops during the fall. The next item was pumpkin spice Cheerios, which tasted good, but after a while, you can get pretty sick of the strong taste and smell of the pumpkin and cinnamon flavors. The third thing I tried was pumpkin spiced flavored cream cheese, which I didn’t like. The flavor wasn’t necessarily bad, but it was a very confusing sweet, cinnamon cream cheese taste. Although disappointed with the cream cheese, it was the next thing that really made it up for me. It was the Pepperidge Farm Swirl Pumpkin Spice Bread, which tasted really good and was a perfect fall-time breakfast food. Lastly was the Ben & Jerry’s Pumpkin Cheesecake ice cream. It was no surprise I didn’t like it all considering I didn’t enjoy the pumpkin spice cream cheese.
After trying out a few fall-themed foods I would say the worst to best would be the Ben & Jerry’s Pumpkin Cheesecake ice cream, pumpkin spice cream cheese, pumpkin spice Cheerios, pumpkin spice coffee, and the best out of them all is the Pepperidge Farm Swirl Pumpkin Spice Bread. From the foods I tried, I would say that they were worth making into a pumpkin spice flavor and they do feel very seasonal.
