Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a sequel to the movie Jumanji. It is not directly connected to the original, but the original board game does appear. The movie is similar to the original, but this time the game (Jumanji) evolved. In the original, the game was a board game that brought real jungle things into real life. Now, the game has evolved into a video game and sucks its real players into the game. Spencer Gilpin, a nerd, gets sucked into the game with three other kids while cleaning for detention. The other kids are, “Fridge” Johnson, a jock, Bethany Walker, a pretty girl cheerleader, and Martha Kaply, a bookworm. The four are brought into the game where they become the avatars they chose. Now, Spencer is a tough explorer named Dr. Xander Bravestone, Fridge is a short weapons specialist named “Moose” Finbar, Bethany is a fat map expert named Professor Shelly Oberon, and Martha is a tough fighter woman named Ruby Roundhouse. The four must now find a way out of the game. The movie stars Dwayne Johnson (Xander), Kevin Hart (Moose), Jack Black (Shelly), Karen Gillan (Ruby), Nick Jonas (Alex), Alex Wolff (Spencer), Ser’Derius Blain (Fridge), Madison Iseman (Bethany), and Morgan Turner (Martha). I think this movie is going to be really funny. After I watched the trailers, I was laughing. Seeing Jack Black play an avatar of a sixteen year old cheerleader is hilarious and the Dwayne Johnson-Kevin Hart scenes look like the best part of the movie. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle comes out December 20, 2017 and is rated PG-13.
